The distance from the center of Ho Chi Minh City to Thu Dau Mot City (the capital of Binh Duong province) is approximately 30 kilometers (about 18.6 miles).

Please note that the exact distance can vary slightly depending on your specific starting point in HCMC and your destination within Binh Duong.

How Long Does the Trip Take?

Typically, the travel time by car is between 45 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The duration of the trip is highly dependent on traffic conditions. During peak rush hours (approximately 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM), the journey can take longer. On weekends or during off-peak hours, the travel time is much faster.

Are There Rest Stops on the Way to Binh Duong?

Because the journey from Saigon to Binh Duong is quite short and travels through heavily urbanized areas, there are no large, official highway rest stops (like you would find on a long-haul trip to Nha Trang or Da Lat).

However, the route is lined with countless convenient places to make a quick stop if needed. You will find:

Numerous coffee shops: Chains like Highlands Coffee, Trung Nguyen Legend, and The Coffee House are readily available along the main road.

Restaurants and local eateries: Plenty of options for a quick meal or a drink.

Gas stations: Most major gas stations have clean restrooms and small convenience stores.

So, while there isn’t a formal “rest stop,” you’ll have no trouble finding a comfortable place to take a break.

Main Travel Routes

The most common and direct route for a car traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong is as follows:

Main Artery: National Highway 13 (Quốc lộ 13)
This is the primary road connecting the two areas. Your journey will start from the inner districts of HCMC, heading towards the Binh Trieu Bridge. After crossing the bridge, you will be on National Highway 13 and will follow it all the way into Binh Duong province.

Connecting Route: Pham Van Dong Boulevard
This is a large, modern boulevard that provides a fast and efficient way to exit the city center and connect to National Highway 13, bypassing some of the denser city traffic.

We hope this information helps you plan a smooth and enjoyable trip! If you’re considering a comfortable and hassle-free journey, don’t forget to check out our private car rental services. Just sit back, relax, and let our experienced drivers handle the navigation for you
